November 13, 2018, Los Angeles, CA—One Legal is now live with eFiling in Los Angeles Superior Court for Civil case types. The period of voluntary eFiling has begun as of November 13, 2018, and eFiling is set to become mandatory on December 3, 2018

After months of preparation and thorough testing, One Legal recently became one of the few electronic filing service providers (EFSP) to become certified in this case type. Now, One Legal remains the only EFSP able to eFile in every county in California where electronic court filing is available.

Previously, One Legal had worked with JTI—the behind-the-scenes case management system chosen by LASC—on a similar eFiling implementation in the San Francisco Superior Court, where integrated eFiling went live in July of 2016. One Legal offers court filing in every superior court in California and is a certified provider in all 19 courts that have so far implemented electronic filing—as well as being a certified eFiling service in the states of Illinois, Indiana, and Texas.

Throughout this transition period, One Legal continues to check in with the court as new procedures are set in place and requirements are fine-tuned. Follow along with all the latest on the Los Angeles County eFiling blog series.

eFiling is scheduled to become voluntary in Unlimited Civil case types on December 3, 2018, with Complex cases to follow soon after. For more information about eFiling in Los Angeles, visit www.onelegal.com/california/losangeles.
