One Legal is teaming up with the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois Paralegal Association to present a half day of educational workshops and training on Cook County’s new eFiling system.
The Cook County eFiling Launch Day seminar begins at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1—the date by which Cook County must make Illinois’ new statewide eFiling system available for filing all civil cases. It features four hours of training and workshops for Chicago legal professionals at the Chicago Bar Association (CLE and NFPA/ILAP credit pending).

Afterward, registered attendees will be invited to an on-site networking happy hour from 5-7 p.m. where they can discuss what they’ve learned and address outstanding questions with colleagues and the One Legal team.

While eFiling eliminates many time, transportation and printing costs, it creates a few new ones you’ll need to keep track of. We review common fees associated with eFilelL — including court, payment processing and EFSP fees — and how to properly account and bill for them.

How to avoid (or correct) rejected filings on eFilelL
We’ll review the 11 standard Illinois court filing rejection reasons that clerks can issue on the eFilelL system, explain what they mean, and give you concrete steps for correcting them.
