New at One Legal this quarter: April, May, June 2018

New eFiling courts, updates to our platform, and exciting opportunities for customers to refer colleagues to One Legal. Here are some of the things that happened over the last month:

Customer referral program

In April, One Legal announced a brand new Customer Referral Program that offers rewards to current customers as well as new members when a new account is created. Share your unique code with a fellow legal professional and you’ll both earn rewards when that person creates a new One Legal account.

We know that many of our customers use us for court filing and more, so we created this program as a way to thank them for sharing their experience with colleagues and friends in the legal industry.

Cook County began eFiling on their new system

First, the Chicago Bar Association partnered with One Legal for an eFiling launch party on May 1, providing four hours of CLE-accredited training on the new system.

Later in May, One Legal’s own Alex Braun served as panelist during a question and answer session with the county clerk’s office and other electronic filing service providers. The event shared important updates with filers on what to expect and how to transition to the new processes.

eFiling is expected to become mandatory in Illinois’ Cook County on July 1.

Credit card option update

Our Product team introduced a new feature that allows filers whose firm pays by credit card to select individual cards with which to use to pay that particular order. If your firm prefers to use a different card for each attorney or case type, your filing process just got a whole lot simpler.

More California courts start eFiling

California courts continued to introduce or enhance their eFiling technology in more case types. In April, Stanislaus County Superior Court joined the growing number of courts using Tyler EFM, and San Mateo Superior Court began accepting subsequent filings in Probate case types. In May, San Francisco Superior Court eliminated the Court-run e-filing portal to e-file documents and recommended One Legal as one of the court approved EFSPs.

New and improved order status pages

We were excited to release completely reimagined order status and order details pages, which highlighted current updates and improved the display of relevant features. Simplified search features and at-a-glance order overviews make it easy to see the most important information right away and track your statuses with greater ease.

Updated Help menu on One Legal platform

You’ll now see a slight change when on the main pages of the One Legal platform. We’ve added a Help menu to the right-hand corner of your screen. Here you’ll have easy access to the Support Center articles, complete pricing information, training materials, and contact details.

Bar Association partnerships

One Legal was honored to enter into special agreements with several key bar associations over the last few months. Members of the Chicago Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, and Indiana Bar Association are now eligible for discounts off of key services, such as eFiling and Concierge.

Other legal organizations are also benefitting from similar discounts, starting with the Illinois Paralegal Association.

That’s what we’ve been up to! Stay tuned for more exciting updates in the coming months.
